Kayleigh's Thoughts
The French Winemaker’s Daughter is a dual timeline, dual POV historical fiction set during World War II and the 1990s. The back-and-forth structure adds depth to the storytelling, and the plot invites readers to explore both emotional and historical layers through the eyes of two strong female leads. While the overall journey is compelling, the predictability of the plot twists made some moments feel unrealistic and left the ending feeling slightly underwhelming. Still, the atmosphere, pacing, and character work made this an enjoyable read.
A rich, dual-timeline historical read that had me invested from the start—even when the characters took a little too long to catch up.
