All Systems Red

Kayleigh's Thoughts

All Systems Red is a novella that packs a punch. With dry humor and a surprising amount of heart, this book explores the tension between control and autonomy, purpose and choice.

Set in a futuristic, corporate-run galaxy, the story raises timeless questions: Can we overcome what we were made for? What does freedom really look like? Murderbot’s desire to break free from programming and just be—soap operas and all—felt oddly relatable.

I didn’t expect to connect with a rogue security robot, but Murderbot’s dry humor and deep inner conflict pulled me in right away.
