Truth and grace lie on a spectrum. Some of us place a high value on truth. We proclaim boldly and are strong proponents of the counsel of Scripture. Others reside in grace. These people are the type of friend you call first when you’re hurting. Incredibly, Jesus embodies both grace and truth. Where do you need his balance of these two attributes in your life today?
The Names of God: the LORD Will Provide
One of the key names for God is JEHOVAH-JIREH. This precious name tells us that God is our Provider. The literal Hebrew meaning is, "The Lord will Provide," or "God my Provider”. What does this mean, why is this so precious? Because we are assured that God actually does indeed care for us and always will provide. So, we can rest and trust in him when times of hardship come or when we can’t see what is ahead.

Grace in the Bible, in Fellowship, and to Ourselves
Through the truth of the Bible, we see how to give grace to ourselves and to others. Because of Christ’s work on the cross, we were never on the hook. We are not responsible for saving ourselves. When we continue to ask God and others for forgiveness that has already been granted, we are trying to earn God’s grace and favor, which is not what the Bible teaches.
