The Drowning Woman

Robyn Harding

Kayleigh's Thoughts

The Drowning Woman by Robyn Harding is a twisty domestic thriller centered on a woman living out of her car who becomes entangled in a stranger’s dark secrets after witnessing a possible suicide attempt. When she rescues the woman, the encounter sparks a dangerous series of events filled with manipulation, secrets, and moral ambiguity. Told through multiple perspectives, the story balances gritty realism with fast-paced suspense, keeping readers hooked through unreliable narrators and ethical gray areas.

While the story hinges on some far-fetched plot points, its dark atmosphere and deeply flawed characters make it compulsively readable. Despite the fact that this book can feel predictable, the execution makes it a page-turner with just enough surprises to keep the momentum going.

I couldn’t look away from the chaos, even when I figured out where it was going.
