This week, we are highlighting trust - trust in God’s goodness, His faithfulness, His provision, His Church, His plan for our lives and His ability to handle our questions. Whether you read this today as a long-time believer or a skeptic, we hope you’ll see an authentic look at how difficult but rewarding trusting God can be - because He is worthy of our trust.
Lessons on Worry from the Lord’s Prayer
In Matthew 6, when Jesus instructs his disciples on prayer, he says:
“…Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” There is something important and sanctifying in praying for God’s provision for this day and not for one day after. How do you handle the temptation to worry about tomorrow?
The Perfect Lamp and God’s Perfect Plan
God’s perfect plan is true for something as small as a lamp or an even bigger desire of our hearts. Every time RJ looks at her new lamp, she thanks God for it because it reminds her again that God knows what is best for her. He is able to provide in ways beyond our imagination for something that blesses his heart and ours.
